I am a desert dweller since Feb 2020 – a local who knows and understand the needs and challenges of the area. I have a property in upper Yucca Valley (Flamingo Heights) and a property in Wonder Valley (29 Palms), so I know all sides of the high desert well. 

 

I am an Airbnb Superhost and have hosted here since 2021 – but I've been using and hosting on Airbnb since 2013 (when it was mostly people couch surfing)!

I am a very hands-on, independent host and I've struggled with not having the help I need without hiring a full co-host company when a situation comes up (like I need a vacation!). I've often wondered why I can't find a site where I can just book everything I need quickly and easily. Seeing a need for this in our High Desert market, I decided to take my entrepreneurial skills and venture more into property management and co-hosting.

My two properties – The Filmmaker's House and The Writer's Cabin – are places I created where artists could come and enjoy the quiet inspiration I do every day. I focus on providing items and tools where other creatives can take the time they need away from the rush of city life and perhaps gain a different perspective.

Or at least find some quiet!

 

I truly enjoy hosting and seem to have a knack for it. My properties average 4.98-stars (meaning they have only had one review less than 5-stars). I've studied the High Desert market at length and feel I've found successful hacks and pricing strategies that work. I am consistently booked over the market average with two properties that are non-luxury homes. (If you've been doing this for a while you know that's no small feat!)

I'm also working on building an online SHOP of local items and treasures as well as practical services that guests may opt into for their stays.
